National Lampoon's Vacation chronicles the trials and tribulations of the Griswold family as they travel across America on their visit Wally World.
Along the way, they get lost in East St. Louis, stop to visit their hillbilly relatives, pick up their cantankerous Aunt Edna (Imogene Coca), accidentally kill her dog, and then indelicately dispose of her corpse after she dies in the back seat. Add to this mix a seductive stranger (Christie Brinkley) who's trying to tempt Clark away from his wife and you've got the Griswold family summer vacation.
They finally arrive at Wally World only to find that it's closed for two weeks for repairs. Now, only a dim-witted park security guard (John Candy) stands between the Griswolds and total insanity.
