Law & Order: Criminal Intent

You can, of course, say it with us: “In New York City’s war on crime, the worst criminal offenders are pursued by the detectives of the Major Case Squad. These are their stories.” So begins every episode of the second Law & Order spin-off, starring Vincent D’Onofrio and Kathryn Erbe. For 10 seasons, these two hard-boiled detectives roam the worm-infested underbelly of the Big Apple, taking on high-profile (and ripped-from-the-headlines) cases involving government officials, celebrities and other VIPs. It’s a dirty job, but honestly, who better than D’Onofrio (and later, Chris Noth and Jeff Goldblum) to do it?
