
When they think “medical show,” most think of the high drama of ER or the melodramatic battleground of Grey’s Anatomy or the high-res close-up nose jobs of shows like Miami Slice; their minds probably doesn’t conjure up roving a cappella troupes, high-fiving surgeons or surreal dream sequences. But when it comes to the staff of Sacred Heart Hospital on “Scrubs, audiences can’t see a gurney without snickering. The long-running, award-winning hospital drama-comedy (hop-dramedy, if you will) starring Zach Braff, Sarah Chalke, Donald Faison and John C. McGinley proved that laughter truly is the best medicine.
