Dude looks like an American Idol judge now.Steven Tyler signed a deal to become the newest American Idol judge, according FOX Entertainment sourcing an insider with the show.
Jennifer Lopez was expected to join Tyler in replacing previous Idol judges Simon Cowell and Ellen DeGeneres, but talks broke down between Lopez and the show's producers after the pop diva demanded $20 million in compensation and a dressing room "compound," FOX Entertainment sources say.
At "American Idol" auditions in Austin last week, host Ryan Seacrest said an announcement on the new Idol four-panel judges is expected at any moment. Rumors have been flying about possible fourth judges, of which include celebrities Chris Isaak, Donald Trump and "Poison" lead singer Bret Michaels.
Tyler, along with his band Aerosmith, are currently on tour. It's unclear whether his reported role as the newest "Idol" judge will affect the band's touring commitments.
