Recent Mel Gibson love aside, Downey Jr.'s perfect for this. He's respected, quick and has just the right amount of edge (see his flirty banter with actresses while presenting at the Golden Globes). Plus, he could do it with a British accent, though we're not recommending the "Tropic Thunder" blackface.
